#3-Indigo- In this 3rd dye class in this series, we’ll explore the ancient tradition of Indigo. We’ll start with a discussion of the historical uses of Indigo in places around the globe, and then we’ll do hands-on dyeing. Bring a couple of small natural fiber items to dye; please no towels or large items. T-shirts, scarves, Hankies, small cotton or linen bags, etc. are good choices, as well as items to over dye. If you took the first class, you could bring back a part of the yarn we dyed to see what happens when we over dye with the exhaust at the end of the class. Dye pots will be provided. Plain white cotton bandanas are available for purchase at Mind Set Apothecary if you don't have an item to dye for $4.
